Position Overview
AP Services is building a network of Physical Therapists for on-site placements with schools across the Greater Chicago area. Hands-on evaluation and mobility support means this role is on-site only.
- 1099 independent contractor — not a W-2 position
- On-site, school-year placements
- K-12 assignments across the Greater Chicago area
- Direct, hands-on support for student mobility and access
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical therapy evaluations on-site to assess gross motor skills, mobility, and physical access to the school environment
- Provide direct therapy services supporting students' participation in the classroom and school activities
- Recommend and help implement adaptive equipment, positioning, and accessibility accommodations
- Participate in IEP, eligibility, and reevaluation meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, and families on student support plans
Qualifications
- State licensure as a school-based Physical Therapist (Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation)
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program
- Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred

Assignments, start dates, hours, and final compensation are determined based on confirmed district needs and are not guaranteed until placement is finalized.
